The Czech regional police proposed today that the Regional State Attorney's Office charge eight people and one firm in the case of subsidy fraud, harming the EU financial interests and other crimes, police deputy chief Jiri Karasek has told reporters. The Hradec Kralove regional police previously said the case was connected with the reconstruction and operation of the modernised cableway from Pec pod Snezkou, east Bohemia, to Snezka (1603m) in Krkonose (Giant Mountains), the highest mountain in the country. This is why it is dubbed "the Krkonose case."
