A total of 245 people were killed on Slovak roads last year, which was more than in 2018, but the number of road traffic accidents decreased, Police Corps Vice-president Robert Bozalka told a press conference on Thursday. "Slovakia is among the countries with the lowest number of fatal road accidents in Europe," said Police Corps President Milan Lucansky, adding that Slovakia has the lowest number of fatal road accidents per capita among the Visegrad Four (V4) countries (the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia) and fewer than in Austria.
