Police forced to use coercive measures against protesters in Bratislava

November 18th, 2020

The police on Tuesday registered five unannounced public demonstrations in the streets of Bratislava, detaining several people. The police had to use force against those who gathered on Freedom Square and Hodzovo Square, with one officer being injured in the process. "The gatherings were attended by supporters of the extreme right as well as football ultras. As public order was disturbed on Freedom Square and Hodzovo Square, the police were forced to make use of coercive measures," they reported on Facebook, adding that the insubordinate protesters were prevented from causing serious damage to public property.
