Police detain dozens of protesting climate activists in Prague

The police detained 44 activists during a protest staged by the Extinction Rebellion (ER) climate movement near the Chamber of Deputies in Prague centre today for not having obeyed the police call and violating protected space, Prague police spokeswoman Violeta Siristova has told CTK. Police protection service first detained 12 people on attempting to enter the seat of the Chamber of Deputies, the lower house of Czech parliament, while another 32 were arrested in the adjacent Tomasska street.
