Police assessing threats to MPs who supported DCA

The police have taken note of threats made to MPs who supported the Defence Cooperation Agreement (DCA) with the United States in parliament, and they are currently monitoring and assessing the situation, Police Corps Presidium spokeswoman Andrea Dobiasova told TASR on Friday. The coalition Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) party has signalled in this regard that it wants to file an "extensive" criminal complaint, adding that it's concerned about events. The senior coalition OLaNO party said it views the threats as a consequence of an "aggressive and inflammatory campaign by extremists, such as [Smer-SD] MP Lubos Blaha and [Independent MP] Milan Mazurek [formerly LSNS] and others".
