Poles among happiest citizens in EU - study

Poles have been placed eighth on a list of the happiest people in the European Union, with almost 70 percent of respondents declaring life satisfaction, Eurostat, the EU's statistics agency, said on Friday. Respondents were asked whether they had been happy all the time, most of the time, sometimes, occasionally or not at all in the past four weeks. Sixty-nine percent of Poles answered they were happy most of the time, and were listed after the Danes, 70 percent of whom said they were happy.
