The Polish presidential election will be held on May 10, Sejm (lower house) Speaker Elzbieta Witek announced on Wednesday. The incumbent president, Andrzej Duda, will face several contenders, including Malgorzata Kidawa-Blonska from the main opposition grouping Civic Coalition (KO). Duda, who enjoys a clear lead in the polls, is supported by the ruling party, the conservative Law and Justice (PiS).
