Poland's unemployment at 5.2 pct in August- minister

Poland's unemployment rate was at 5.2 percent in August, and remained unchanged from the previous month, in line with a consensus forecast of 5.2 percent, the Family and Labour Ministry tweeted on Thursday. Earlier, Labour Minister Bozena Borys-Szopa said the unemployment rate would stay within the 5.2 - 5.4 range until the end of the year. The ministry's preliminary estimates showed that the number of unemployed registered at labour offices in August amounted to 866,700 down by 1,700 compared to July and by 92,000 in comparison with last year.
