Poland to modify pension indexation system

September 17th, 2019

Poland will modify its old age and disability pension indexation system in favour of the lowest earners, Pawel Mucha, an aide to President Andrzej Duda, said on public television on Tuesday. Mucha said that according to the plan, which was published in the ruling party Law and Justice's (PiS) political programme on Saturday, pensioners who earn the least will be offered a minimum indexation of 70 zlotys (EUR 16.22) a month. Currently, the lowest old age pension is 1,100 zlotys in Poland.
