Poland to halt Russian use of NS2 as 'weapon', official states

Poland's role is to stop Russia using the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline as a weapon, a Polish government official said on Monday. The US and Germany agreed on Wednesday that the US will lift sanctions on companies involved in the construction of the pipeline which will take Russian gas to Germany. Poland has so far opposed its construction, arguing that it undermines European security by increasing energy dependency on Russia.
