Poland takes in 4.29 m refugees since start of Ukraine war

Poland has taken in 4.29 million refugees from Ukraine since February 24, when Russia invaded the country, the Border Guard (SG) said on Twitter on Friday. According to the SG, on Thursday, Border Guard officers carried out around 27,500 border checks on people entering Poland from Ukraine, and by 7am on Friday the number of arrivals had reached around 7,000 people.
