Poland takes in 3.95 m refugees since start of Ukraine war

Some 3.95 million people have crossed the Polish-Ukrainian border into Poland since February 24, when Russia invaded Ukraine, the Border Guard (SG) said on Twitter on Friday. According to the SG, on Thursday, Border Guard officers carried out around 25,200 border checks on people entering Poland from Ukraine, and by 7am on Friday the number of arrivals had reached around 7,000 people.
