Poland ruling party leads voter support poll in event of coalition break-up

May 6th, 2020

If the United Right coalition broke up due to disputes regarding the date of presidential elections, the ruling Law and Justice (PiS) party would receive 40.5 percent of the voter support, according to a survey by the IBRIS pollster for Radio ZET. The head of the junior coalition party Agreement, Jaroslaw Gowin, said that presidential elections, planned for May 10, should be postponed until they can be thoroughly prepared to ensure the vote is democratic and safe for voters as Poland battles the coronavirus pandemic.
