Poland has presented a proposal in the EU forum to establish an energy solidarity fund under which poorer member states would receive funds to protect households from rising energy prices due to increased climate ambitions. EU environment ministers dealing with European climate law met in Luxembourg on Friday to work out a partial position that would bring the EU closer to a decision on the 2030 greenhouse gas emission reduction target.
