Poland must take action amid spectre of demographic collapse - minister

The Polish government has unveiled plans to help the country ward off a looming demographic disaster that could see its population drop from 38 million to 16 million by 2100, the family and social policy minister said on Thursday, citing UN forecasts. Marlena Malag told Polish public radio PR24 that the government had prepared a strategy to "change the demographic trends in Poland.
