Due to the nature of contemporary threats, Poland is planning to create an efficient and comprehensive national protection and civil defence system, Deputy Interior and Administration Minister Jaroslaw Zielinski has told PAP. Zielinski said civil protection and civil defence bills have already been drafted and are now being updated and consulted. He expressed hope that the current parliament will be able to process them before its term expires this autumn. Zielinski said the issues had not been regulated for years, but have been on the ruling Law and Justice party's programme, similarly to the already-passed anti-terrorist laws.
