Poland may take advantage of its right to veto in EU

November 6th, 2020

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, commenting on the issue of linking the rule of law to the EU budget, on Friday said Poland would take advantage of its right to veto in case an agreement cannot be reached. The prime minister also said that the minimum cost of the government-announced Covid-19-related support was approximately between 9 billion and 10 billion zlotys (EUR 1.99-2.21bn). Should a national quarantine be introduced, the costs may be between 5 billion and 10 billion zlotys.
