Poland marks its National Flag Day

May 2nd, 2022

Polish Defence Minister Mariusz Blaszczak on Monday attended the traditional ceremony of hoisting the national colours on the Clock Tower of the Royal Castle in Warsaw as Poland celebrated National Flag Day on May 2. "The Polish Flag Day is a day of unity for all Poles; wherever we live we are united by the white and red flag," he said during the ceremony. "The soldiers of the Polish Army carry the white and red flag on their uniforms, the soldiers of the Polish Army know that the white and red flag is a sign they are faithful to the end... and for us it is the basic symbol uniting us, forming national ties," he added.
