Poland's manufacturing PMI up m/m in August

September 2nd, 2019

Poland's Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) grew to 48.8 points in August 2019 from 47.4 points in July, the economic research company IHS Markit reported on Monday. Market expectations stood at 47.6 points. "The PMI registered below 50.0 for the tenth consecutive month in August, signalling a prolonged downturn in the Polish goods-producing sector. That said, the index rose to a three-month high of 48.8, from July's 75-month low of 47.4, indicating a slower overall decline," Markit wrote in a commentary.
