Poland, Lithuania confirm strategic partnership

The Polish and Lithuanian foreign ministers have stated that the two countries are strategic partners on the bilateral, regional and Euroatlantic levels, and that they jointly - and in full agreement - meet regional and global challenges. "We want to jointly defend the values and security of the European Union," Zbigniew Rau and his Lithuanian counterpart Gabrielius Landsbergis wrote in a joint statement marking the 30th anniversary of the resumption of diplomatic relations.
