Poland's heaviest pumpkin weighs in at 870 kg - stats office

The Central Statistical Office (GUS) said in a tweet on Thursday that the heaviest pumpkin grown in Poland in 2019 weighed 870 kg, and that this year's pumpkin harvest was coming to an end. GUS reported that during last year's season, around 71,000 tonnes of pumpkins were harvested, up from 45,000 tonnes in 2017. In 2016, the total reached 60,000 tonnes, in 2015, it was 47,000 tonnes and in 2014 it amounted to 48,000 tonnes.
