Poland hands over NATO Counterintelligence COE command to Slovakia

Poland passed over to Slovakia the leadership of the NATO-accredited Counterintelligence Centre of Excellence (COE), based in Krakow, on Monday. For the last three years, Krakow's centre has been headed by a Pole, Colonel Robert Bala. On Monday, his duties were taken over by his hitherto deputy Slovak, Colonel Martin Achimovic and, at the same time, the USA has joined the group of countries making up the organisation.
