Poland's GDP growth seen at 4.5 percent in 2019

June 6th, 2019

Investment and Development Minister Jerzy Kwiecinski on Thursday said Poland's GDP should grow by 4.5 percent in 2019 and he did not exclude that the final level may still be even higher. The minister also stressed that Poland was experiencing an explosion of private investments. He noted that EU funds, especially from the Regional Operational Programmes, have had a significant share in private investments. He pointed out that the rise of the number of company investments was caused by the exhaustion of possibilities for raising product and services offers. "At this phase, companies must invest to expand their offer and raise sales," said Kwiecinski.
