Poland, EU states call for closer cooperation in renewable energy sector

In a letter to the European Commission, Poland and several other EU member states called on the EC to strengthen cooperation with a European alliance of the renewable energy sector, and to financially support the development of solar and wind energy. The project, initiated by the Lithuanian government, was supported by the Polish Climate Ministry. Also, Latvia, Austria, Estonia, Greece, Austria, Luxembourg and Spain have signed up to the initiative.
