Poland economy likely to expand by over 4 pc in Q3

September 30th, 2019

Polish Finance Minister Jerzy Kwiecinski told a Monday press conference that Poland's GDP growth was likely to slightly exceed 4 percent in the third quarter of the year, and amount to about 4.5 percent over the whole of 2019. "The GDP growth should stand between 4.0 and 4.5 percent in 2019. We are likely to achieve this despite the existence of external shocks coming from the global economy, such as Brexit and trade wars. Despite these shocks, we have strong consumption, which is a driving engine for the economy," Kwiecinski said.
