Poland and the Czech Republic did not agree on a solution to the dispute over continued mining in the Turow coal mine, Polish Environment Minister Michal Kurtyka said after their talks last night. The pact between the Czech Republic and Poland, dealing with further operation of the Turow mine and its impact on Czech municipalities is all but finished, but agreement was not reached by the two countries' representatives, Czech Environment Minister Richard Brabec said. The Czech Republic and Poland still differ on the length of the agreement on Turow, which is the main controversy, Brabec said.
