Poland's CPI hits 16.1 pct y/y in August - stats office

Prices of consumer goods and services (Consumer Price Index, CPI) increased by 16.1 percent year on year and by 0.8 percent month on month in August 2022, the Central Statistical Office reported in a flash estimate on Wednesday. Economists polled by PAP Business estimated that Augusts CPI would reach 15.5 percent year on year and 0.2 percent month on month. In July, the prices of consumer goods and services increased by 15.5 percent year on year and by 0.4 percent month on month.
