Poland achieves its goal of more US troops - defence min

Poland has achieved what it strived for, that is, more US forces in Poland, Defence Minister Mariusz Blaszczak said in a video published online on Thursday, a day after the Polish and US presidents signed an agreement to increase the number of US troops in Poland. The Polish defence minister is a member of President Andrzej Duda's delegation to the United States and, on Wednesday, he took part in the president's visit to the White House. President Duda and US President Donald Trump signed a declaration on defence cooperation and announced that the number of US soldiers stationed in Poland will increase by 1,000.
