Pihera becomes first woman to command large Czech foreign mission

Major Petra Pihera has become the first woman to command a large foreign mission of the Czech Armed Forces, an air defence unit from Strakonice, south Bohemia, operating in the NATO Enhanced Forward Presence in Lithuania, the Armed Forces website said on Tuesday. The unit assumed its tasks in Lithuania last week.
