Czech Finance Minister Tomas Petricek on Wednesday expressed hope that the dispute over the European Union's budget will not delay the payments of European money to individual member countries. Speaking at a Prague European summit debate, he said he considered the rule of law one of the EU's fundamental values. On Monday, Hungary and Poland blocked the passage of the budget along with the planned post-coronavirus recovery fund. They said they disagree with the rule of law observance being a condition for the distribution of money from EU funds.
