Pellegrini: Velvet Revolution anniversary should connect not divide

The 30th anniversary of the Velvet Revolution should connect and not divide people both in Slovakia and the Czech Republic, said Slovak Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini (Smer-SD) in his opening speech at a joint meeting of the Governments of Slovakia and the Czech Republic in Valtice, the Czech Republic on Monday. Pellegrini also stressed that the joint meeting is taking place at the beginning of a week in which both nations will commemorate one of the most important milestones in their common history, the 30th anniversary of the Velvet Revolution and the restoration of democracy.
