Pellegrini: Slovakia, Latvia similar in many respects

Slovakia and Latvia share many similar traits, including historical experience, Slovak Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini, who is currently on a visit to the Baltic country, said on Friday after meeting his Latvian counterpart Arturs Krisjanis Karins, noting that while Slovakia celebrated the 30th anniversary of the Velvet Revolution this year, Latvia celebrated the 30th anniversary of the Baltic Way. The two premiers discussed, among other things, the European Union. Pellegrini called on small countries such as Slovakia and Latvia to talk about their visions on Europe. Pellegrini also met Latvian President Egils Levits.
