Pellegrini: Deal on 2020 slate already reached within Smer-SD

There's "some agreement" already in place on the makeup of Smer-SD's election slate, Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini (Smer-SD) confirmed after a party leadership meeting on Tuesday. Pellegrini didn't want to share more details, as they are to be unveiled at a Smer-SD press conference scheduled for Wednesday (September 25). When asked whether party chair Robert Fico will be featured on the 2020 parliamentary election slate, Pellegrini replied that he has a full right to that as the chairman. Pellegrini also refused to confirm whether he'd serve as the election leader, claiming that such matters are up to the party chairman to announce.
