Paramedics helped 84 people suffering heat-induced collapses on Wednesday, with the highest number of cases (17) recorded in the Kosice region, Emergency Medical Service Operational Centre spokesperson Alena Krcova told TASR. Of the 84 treated people, 27 were men, 55 women and two children. The youngest person to be treated was a 10-year-old boy, the oldest a 94-year-old woman. A total of 49 patients had to be rushed to the hospital.
