More than a hundred people gathered in the Malostranske (Lesser Town) Square, downtown Prague, today to hold a protest event within the Fridays for Future (FFF) world-wide movement in support of the anti-climate change measures. Organisers of the event told CTK they wanted to call on the next government emerging from the October general election to make climate change its priority. The protest gathering was symbolically launched at 11:59 when the child as well as adult attendants chanted "Now or Never!". Protesters' banners read for instance "Climate Justice", "There is No Time to Close Eyes," and "We Want Healthy Planet for Our Children". Members of Greenpeace and Duha-Friends of the Earth environmental NGOs took part in the event, too.
