The output of Poland's automotive industry is expected to fall this year from 153.54 billion zlotys (EUR 35.8bn) to around 145-147.5 billion zlotys in 2019, according to the portal AutomotiveSuppliers. The portal says the industry's exports are to drop from 25.95 billion zlotys in 2018 to around 25.0-25.5 billion zlotys in 2019. The portal points to falling new car production, especially in Germany -- the EU's leading car maker -- and a difficult situation in the British automotive industry directly linked with Brexit as the main causes behind lower production levels in Poland.
