July 2nd, 2021
The number of people inoculated against the coronavirus is expected to reach 5.5 million in Hungary today, allowing the further easing of restrictions, Prime Minister Viktor Orban told public broadcaster Kossuth Radio. According to this morning's coronavirus statistics, no one with Covid-19 has died in the past 24 hours, Orban said. Of those suffering from Covid-19, 76 are hospitalised without respiratory assistance, and 22 are on ventilators, he said. All restrictions on shops will be lifted, Orban said. Masks will not be mandatory indoors or outdoors, he said.
