Prime Minister Viktor Orban, who heads Hungary's ruling Fidesz party, on Monday met leaders of North Macedonia's VMRO, Fidesz's sister party. VMRO chairman Hristijan Mickoski and deputy leader Aleksandar Nikoloski briefed Orban on North Macedonia's election campaign, the prime minister's press office said. The officials asked the Orban to press the European Union to start accession talks with North Macedonia as soon as possible. The migration crisis at the Turkey-Greece border was also discussed, as well as political challenges facing the European People's Party, of which both Fidesz and VMRO are members.
