Prime Minister Viktor Orban had talks in Budapest with Wolfgang Sobotka, president of the Austrian parliament's lower house. Orban noted that thanks to a successful vaccination campaign Hungary "leads the pack" in herd immunity and easing pandemic-related restrictions. As a European "Covid passport" is not yet in sight, bilateral agreements between countries on accepting immunity certificates may offer a solution in terms of unhampered travel, he said, adding that Hungary is ready to conclude such an agreement with Austria too.
