Orava residents sending protest cards to transport ministry

Mayors of towns in the Orava region in northern Slovakia on Thursday submitted thousands of postcards from local people concerning the transport situation. The move is a protest against postponed deadlines for construction work on the R3-expressway stretch between Tvrdosin-Nizna (Zilina region). The same postcards will be also delivered to the government. The 'Postcards for the R3' Initiative was organised by Independent MP Igor Janckulik, who's a member of the extra-parliamentary Christian Democratic Movement (KDH).
