Opposition parties vowing not to back budget bill

The lawmakers for the opposition ANO and Freedom and Direct Democracy (SPD) will not support the Czech budget bill for this year, drafted by the coalition cabinet of Prime Minister Petr Fiala, they said in the debate on the legislation in the lower house today. Nevertheless, ANO will not make any obstructions and prolong its further debate because even a bad budget is better than a lengthy stopgap budget, the finance minister in the previous government of Andrej Babis, Alena Schillerova said.
