Opposition considers Russia a nuke unit supplier security threat

Part of the opposition including the Mayors and Independents (STAN) considers Russia as a new unit supplier for the Dukovany nuclear power plant, south Moravia, a security and geopolitical threat, while the Czech government does not deem it risky, STAN leader Vit Rakusan has said. Russia is among the bidders in the tender for a new nuclear unit. Besides Russia's Rosatom, potential bidders are China's CGN, the US Westinghouse, France's EdF and South Korea's KHNP. The opposition Pirate Party, Civic Democrats, Christian Democrats and TOP 09 are against Russia's participation in the tender.
