Opponents preventing new Czech ombudsman from entering office

February 20th, 2020

A group of protesters attempted to prevent new Czech Ombudsman Stanislav Krecek from entering his office in Brno on Thursday morning and he only got in after the intervention of the police that detained some people. The protesters did not obey the police call not to block the entrance to the Ombudsman's Office. Police detained seven people. After some ten minutes, Krecek got in and took up his office from his predecessor Anna Sabatova.
