Old Bratislava Market Hall on fire

A fire broke out at the Old Market Hall building in Bratislava's Old Town, the Bratislava Regional Directorate's Firefighter and Emergency Corps (HaZZ) operational centre confirmed for TASR on Friday. According to the firefighters, the blaze broke out in the basement, and the building had to be evacuated. "Three dozen firefighters from all of Bratislava's fire stations have been dispatched to the scene. They've managed to contain the fire, and now premises filled with heavy smoke are being aired," Katarina Krizanova of HaZZ told TASR. No injures have been reported.
