Okamura apologises to Hungary for Czech high official's comments

January 18th, 2022

Czech opposition Freedom and Direct Democracy (SPD) leader Tomio Okamura has sent a letter to the Hungarian ambassador with an apology for lower house head Marketa Pekarova Adamova's (TOP 09) recent critical comments on Hungarian PM Viktor Orban, SPD spokeswoman Barbora Stastna told CTK today. Two weeks ago, Adamova wrote on Facebook that Hungarians would have a chance to get rid of Orban in the forthcoming election, like the Czechs who have got rid of former PM Andrej Babis (ANO), and that she hoped Hungarians would make it, too.
