OFZ announces mass layoffs in N Slovakia

Ferroalloy manufacturer OFZ, operating in Orava county in northern Slovakia, has announced it would lay off ca. 150 employees and partially suspend production by the end of the year due to persistent negative market conditions, in particular high electricity prices and low market prices for ferroalloys.
