OECD report puts Hungarian education on par with highest performers during pandemic, says ministry

The Hungarian education system provided high-quality services during the coronavirus pandemic, on par with the leading countries of the world, according to the OECD's Education at a Glance 2021 report, the human resources ministry said on Friday. It said Hungary sought to curb the effects of the pandemic and to support lagging students by introducing digital equipment and content into the curriculum and by ensuring tutoring for vulnerable students when in-person teaching became possible. The measures were similar to those undertaken in "the most developed countries of the world", the ministry said.
