The Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) expects Slovakia's economy to grow by 2.3 percent this year and 3.4 percent next year. High inflation as well as uncertainty caused by the war in Ukraine will have a negative impact on domestic demand also during next year. "The war is also worsening problems within the industrial supply chain and weakening exports," the OECD said. According to the OECD, Slovakia's GDP growth will speed up in 2023 thanks to investments financed by the European Union and a gradual increase in exports. It sees the main risk to growth in the protraction of the war in Ukraine and disruption of energy supplies.
