October 23 - Gyurcsany calls for 'patriotic opposition'

Ferenc Gyurcsany, head of the leftist Democratic Coalition, has called for building a "colourful, patriotic opposition" embracing "leftists, centrists, liberals, greens and right-wingers, too". Speaking at his party's commemoration at a monument to martyred 1956 Prime Minister Imre Nagy, Gyurcsany said that the opposition should be integrated by the ideals of a strong federation of European nations, as well as restoring the rule of law in Hungary.
