March 11th, 2020
There are 75 confirmed cases of novel coronavirus, Czech Health Minister Adam Vojtech (ANO) has told journalists, adding that twelve new cases were reported today. Some patients had to be hospitalised in an intensive care ward due to the infection, Vojtech said. The first coronavirus cases were confirmed in the Czech Republic on March 1. On Tuesday, the National Security Council (BRS) cancelled all public events with the gathering of over 100 people in a single place. The teaching at elementary and secondary schools as well as universities was also suspended.
